The chronic inflammatory disorder of airways is asthma that causes the hyper-responsiveness to a variety of stimuli.
Asthma is one the most common chronic diseases with worldwide distribution & its occurrence are increasing mainly in children.
In ayurveda literature the term for Asthma is Tamaka Swasa & that is one of the five types of Swasa, it is described in detail specially in Charaka Samhita.
